Ashton Dodd has worked on films, television, and theatre ever since she was a child. She was born to captivate audiences, beginning with watching horror at a young age and wondering, “how does it work and how do I do it?” That’s when she decided to dip her toes into that world.
A few years later at 14, she began her work in theatre on shows like “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead,” “39 Steps,” “The Little Mermaid” and so much more. During her time there, she decided to take a film class that changed the course of her career path for good.
At 18, she began to attend the University of North Texas where film and television took top priority. Focused on learning from her peers and mentors, she built her way up to becoming executive producer on “Looking Glass” (2021-2024), an anthology series that focuses on technology and how it effects the mind.
During that time, working on “Looking Glass” and student films, she began to focus on production design, leaning from her previous experience as a scenic designer and pushing it into the world of film. There, a passion was formed. Now her main focus of study and career, she is looking forward to working in production and scenic design and developing her skills forward.
